Thanks to Sam Beswick of Team Pallatrax for giving his time to be interviewed, here’s what he had to say:
Q: Most anglers would love to be able to call themselves ‘professional’. How did you manage it?
I managed it by sending in pictures of fish into Pallatrax that I have caught on their products and then after a few weeks they contacted me asking if I would like to be a part of the Pallatrax Team and I was delighted to accept this offer, it all happened so quick I wasn’t really expecting it.
Q: How often do you fish and what do you fish for?
I fish whenever I have the time to, so I fish ‘a lot’. I fish for all species of fish but mostly carp but I also like to fish rivers for barbel and chub and then still waters for tench and crucians.
Q: Give us some PB stats – what are you most proud of and why?
Common carp- 23lb 8oz
Mirror carp- 23lb
Tench- 8lb 2oz
Crucian carp- 4lb 2oz
Chub-5lb 2oz
Barbel-5lb 2oz
I am easily most proud of my 4lb 2oz because it is quite rare to catch a crucian of this size.
